Power to require decryption and/or production of a decryption key

The power to require decryption of encypted material, or to produce a decryption key is given to certain public authorities under Part III of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 ("RIPA").

Between 6th June and 30th August 2006 the Home Office ran a public consultation on a Code of Practice for RIPA Part III, to which LINX submitted comments.
